Enjoy “Art Cruise 29!” First Saturdays event on Saturday, May 4, 2019

Twentynine Palms, CA – The popular “Art Cruise 29!” event is featured on the first Saturday of each month in Twentynine Palms and will host its next event on Saturday, May 4, at five local galleries. The public is invited to visit the galleries and exhibitions, meet the artists, and enjoy artistic hospitality. Admission is free to all events.

Artomotive Gallery on the corner of 29 Palms Hwy and National Park Drive features the works of Sheliah Bailey, Duane and Stacy Bird, and Elisabeth Pollnow this month, with art and refreshments from 3 to 9 p.m.

The 29 Palms Art Gallery will celebrate a Volunteers Show featuring work by Artists’ Guild members along with paintings and mixed media by abstract artist Trevon “Von” Dinkens at an opening reception from 5 to 7 p.m. at the gallery, 74055 Cottonwood Drive at National Park Drive.

The Glass Outhouse Art Gallery in Wonder Valley features the work of artists Paula Long and Janis Commentz & Friends in May. The gallery will host an opening reception from 5 to 9 p.m. on Saturday, May 4, with music by Hunter & The Wick’d. The gallery is approximately 4 miles east of downtown on 29 Palms Hwy at Thunder Road.

At the 29 Palms Visitor Center and Chamber of Commerce, the gallery continues its “Birds, Buds & Bees” spring exhibition, hosted by the city’s Public Arts Advisory Committee. The visitor center is located at 73484 29 Palms Hwy at Desert Queen Avenue downtown and is open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Other artwork and activities are available at 29 Palms Creative Center and Gallery, which hosts weekly art classes, art parties, and art shopping at 6847 Adobe Road and is open Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
