The Rapidly Growing Company To Add 70 Jobs To Chino

Chino, CAePac Flexible Packaging, a leader in quick-turn, short to medium run length production of flexible packaging, has announced that it will expand its operations into a 25,000-square-foot facility located at 5475 Daniels Street in Chino, CA. ePac LA, a full-service flexible packaging manufacturer will open in June 2019, with order taking available now.

ePac LA will focus on regional food manufacturers and contract packagers throughout Southern California and the surrounding area. With a focus on small and medium size businesses, ePac is the only US company based on the latest in digital printing technology, providing brands of all sizes fast time to market, high definition graphics, low minimum orders, and the ability to customize packaging to select target markets.

ePac’s service delivery model is based on the latest in digital printing technology from Hewlett Packard, the Indigo 20000, and is geared to shipping finished pouches in 3 weeks or less, rollstock in 10 days, and economically producing small and medium run length multi-SKU orders.

ePac customers benefit from the ability to launch new products faster, make changes rapidly, run more promotions, eliminate the cost of plates, and more effectively use packaging as a marketing tool.

ePac is a member of the Sustainable Packaging Coalition and is committed to finding ways to lessen the impact of plastics on the environment. The company’s digital printing platform uses less energy and produces a lower carbon footprint than conventional printing technologies. San Bernardino County’s Economic Development Agency facilitated key meetings between ePac and its various resource partners to ensure the company could take advantage of a number of incentives. To that end, ePac was successfully awarded $2.3 million in Tax Credits through the California Competes program. The County’s workforce development agency is also supporting the firm’s staffing needs as it plans for its business growth.
