Big Bear: History Alive … Chautauqua

Big Bear Chautauqua

Big Bear, Ca – The Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library are sponsoring Chautauqua as part of the Old Miners Celebration. The program will take place on Saturday, July 21, 2018 at 2:00 – 3:30 pm (which is continuing at the NEW TIME), featuring Lotta Crabtree portrayed by Judith Helton.

In 1853 when Lotta was 6 years old, she learned to sing and dance and soon became a child performer in the gold fields near Grass Valley, California. After moving to San Francisco and by the age of 12, she became known as “Miss Lotta, the San Francisco Favorite”. Through Judith, Lotta continues to entertain both adult and student audiences.

Come and enjoy our one-woman show by a very talented performer!

This is a FREE event open to the public and early arrival is recommended for limited seating at Summit Christian Fellowship Church (41965 Garstin Dr-across the street from the Big Bear Library Branch Library).
