History Alive …Chautauqua

For the Eighteenth consecutive year, The Friends of the Big Bear Valley Library are presenting Chautauqua as part of the Old Miners Celebration. The program will take place on Saturday, July 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm (which is a NEW TIME), featuring Eliza Tibbets, one of the founders of the City of Riverside and pioneer of the California’s citrus industry. She will be portrayed by former BBL resident, Sandra Petterson who is a docent at the historical Mission Inn in Riverside and portrays Eliza during the Festival of Lights.

We are also holding 2 different Opportunity draws:  At the performance: win a free brunch and tour at the Mission Inn, and At the Library: During the day, after checking out 15 items, receive a ticket for a chance to win a Fire Kindle tablet.

The program will be at Summit Christian Fellowship Church (41965 Garstin Dr-across the from the Big Bear Library Branch Library). A reception will immediately follow at the Library (41930 Garstin Dr., BBL). This event is open to the general public at no charge.
