The community can learn about no-cost career training in machining, welding, industrial electrical, as well as paid internship and apprenticeship opportunities during the Chaffey College Industrial Technical Learning Center’s open house event on Tuesday Oct. 15.
InTech staff will provide tours of the facility, which is located at California Steel Industries in Fontana. Visitors can participate in welding simulation contests, receive giveaways and receive information about technical careers in the Inland Empire.
The facility trains students for careers that pay about $25,000 to $88,000 per year.
InTech is the first public-private partnership in California, providing industry-driven technical training for the region’s growing manufacturing and logistics industry. The site includes state-of-the-art classrooms, labs and equipment.
