Dig Into the Fun at the 2019 International Archaeology Day Investigators Expo

Riverside, CA – Riverside County Regional Park and Open-Space District (RivCoParks) and the Archaeological Institute of America presents 2019 International Archaeology Day Investigators Expo at Hidden Valley Nature Center located at 11401 Arlington Ave., Riverside, CA 92505.  The event takes place on Saturday, October 19, 2019. Admission to this event is free, parking is $5 cash only.

When you come, be prepared for adventure!  Try on Roman Legion Armor, learn more about Roman medical practices, throw an Atlatl Spear, work with real archaeological artifacts, see how swords are made, examine 21st Century archaeological technology, and find out how you can help archaeologists.

This is a family and kid-friendly event with lots of hands-on interactive fun!  Be ready to dig, investigate, learn and try new things. 

If you have never visited Riverside’s scenic Hidden Valley Nature Center, this is a great opportunity to come see why everyone loves it.  The Nature Center is located within the Hidden Valley Wildlife Area along the Santa Ana River with access to the Santa Ana River Trail and beautiful views of the river and bluffs overlooking the river bottom.
