First-Ever Fontana JazzFest

Fontana, Calif.– The City of Fontana invites you to celebrate Black History Month at the free, inaugural Fontana Arts JazzFest on Saturday, February 9, 2019, from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Miller Park Amphitheater (17004 Arrow Blvd.).

The amphitheater will be transformed into a Jazz lovers oasis – vibrant, sophisticated and entertaining. The event will highlight the history of Jazz music and will honor African American achievements.

A stellar lineup of musical and dancing acts promises the best in jazz. The JazzFest will kick off performances by Fontana’s very own Kaiser High School Jazz Band followed by the Uplifting Arts Academy (Jazz Dance Performance) and The Brass Brothers (Jazz Band). Violin-playing brothers Sons of Mystro complete the lineup for the eagerly anticipated event.

The JazzFest is more than music. Programming features artist and community booths, a kid zone, interactive art activities, artisanal shopping and much more. The interactive art activities will highlight various African American influencers and movements. Event-goers can also purchase art pieces and specialty items at the artisanal shopping area and explore a wide selection of food and beverage choices at the food booth hub.

Make sure to bring your lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy the stage performances. Come experience a day filled with fun and culture. Admission is free.
