Fontana’s annual Teen Leadership Summit

Fontana Teen Summit

Fontana, Calif. – Fontana’s annual Teen Leadership Summit, presented by the Mayor’s Youth Advisory Council (MYAC), is a free youth-led event for 6th through 12th grade students and their parents. The event will be held on Saturday, February 16, 2019, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at Summit High School (15551 Summit Ave. Fontana, CA 92336). Anthony Alexander, a Fontana native who was featured on Season 13 of NBC’s The Voice, will be delivering a dynamic message to those in attendance and perform live for event-goers.

Teens will have the opportunity to attend interactive workshops such as Workforce Readiness, Don’t Bull-little, Be Big, Tomorrow Needs You and Be Kind to Your Body. There will also be a parent workshop titled Stress and Resilience. In addition, local resources and community-based organizations will be utilized to create a community experience that will make a lasting impression on all those involved.

The Teen Leadership Summit event will bring youth and their parents together in an environment that encourages open dialogue and active learning. The activities will include a keynote speaker, various educational workshops and a resource fair.

The MYAC Leadership Summit is a free event, specifically targeting 6th through 12th graders and their parents.
