Redlands Horticultural Learning how to “Growing Lavenders”

The Redlands Horticultural and Improvement Society will have as their special March 16th speaker, Carol Hamre, a Master Gardener, Master Composter, and Certified Quality Water Efficient Landscaper (QWEL).  She will have a presentation focusing on “Growing Lavenders” in the home gardens, with tips on growing lavender successfully and learning about uses and different varieties of lavender.  Carol is a staff member of Highland Springs Ranch and Inn and 123 Farm which is Southern California’s largest certified organic Lavender Farm.  In addition to speaking on lavenders, she will be sharing information about the farm, the historic Highland Springs Resort located at 10600 Highland Springs Avenue, Cherry Valley, and its unique upcoming festivals and exciting horticultural projects.

“Growing Lavenders” in our home gardens, the topic of the March General Meeting, hopefully will inspire garden enthusiasts to come and enjoy Carol’s presentation.  Members and guests are invited to take notes and enjoy the meeting, fellowship and door prizes. The Thursday March 16, 2017 meeting starts promptly at 7:00 p.m. at the Church of the Nazarene, 1307 E. Citrus Avenue in Redlands.    Information at RedlandsGardenClub.com
