Although, Goodwill is often thought of as only assisting individuals with disabilities, the focus of this new effort is much broader. These so-called unique workers include but are not limited to dislocated youth, veterans, justice involved, individuals experiencing unemployment and those who are or have recently been a neighbor without a home.
There are incredible organizations across the region, the goal of this campaign is to leverage and align the collective power of the region’s expertise, leadership, and resources to significantly expand opportunities for unique populations.
The hiring event and resource fair will represent a step in the group’s effort to increase employment opportunities for those who struggle most to find work.
In addition, for employers, it is an opportunity to empower these individuals and fill open jobs.
