Walk NASCAR Track to Speed Up a Cure For Blood Cancer

LEUKEMIA & LYMPHOMA SOCIETY’S LIGHT THE NIGHT

WHAT: More than 6,000 people will walk the track to fight cancer on Saturday, October 26, 2019 as part of the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (LLS), Orange County Inland Empire Chapter’s Light The Night at Auto Club Speedway in Fontana.  Participants will walk a 1.83-mile route through the O’Reilly Auto Parts Fan Zone to pit road and along the front stretch of the oval track.

Participants will carry white, red and gold illuminated lanterns on the famous speedway and facility grounds signifying a survivor, supporter or those walking in memory of loved ones who have been affected by blood cancer. Since 2009, this charity walk has locally raised over $5 million to help fund research that leads to cures and life-saving treatments.

In addition, attendees will enjoy a family-friendly community festival with entertainment, kid zone activities, and sponsors including Cigna, Tilden-Coil Constructors, BJ’s Restaurants, The Grainger Foundation, Kohl’s Cares, Loma Linda University Health, Target and Wells Fargo.

Festival: 4:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m.
Opening Ceremonies: 6:45 p.m.
Walk Begins: 7:00 p.m.
Fireworks: 8:15 p.m.
