U of R Human-Animal Studies “Wild Things” Lecture Series presents Project Coyote’s Camilla Fox

The “Wild Things” Lecture Series rounds out with guest speaker Camilla Fox at 7 p.m. Tuesday, November 7 in Gregory Hall 161 on the main Redlands campus. The event is free to attend and open to the public.

Fox is founder and executive director of Project Coyote, a nonprofit organization that promotes coexistence between people and wildlife through education, science, and advocacy. In her talk “Wild Things: Coexisting with North America’s Native Carnivores,” Fox will explore why native carnivores matter and how they bring balance to the landscape, keeping ecosystems resilient and healthy. She will discuss how America’s war against predators is costly, brutal, and often ineffective. Fox will show that there are better ways to live with these animals and that educated coexistence is the way forward.
