Family Fun program at the Victor Valley Museum
Having big ears. Sleeping all day. Hibernating in winter. Storing water in your system. Which of these adaptations make you a Desert Dweller? At the Victor Valley Museum on April 15 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., discover which desert dwellers use these and other adaptations to survive in the desert climate. This family program is included with paid admission.
“One of the exhibits at the Victor Valley Museum is all about animal adaptations for surviving in their environment—from kangaroo rats in our hot, dry Mojave Desert to musk oxen in the frigid but arid environment of the far north,” said Jolene Redvale, curator of education. “In this program, suitable for kids ages 5 and up and their families, we’ll focus on animal adaptations in the high desert, and make some exciting discoveries in our own backyard.”
The Victor Valley Museum is at 11873 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley. The museum is open Wednesday through Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Admission is $5 (adult), $4 (senior or military), and $2.50 (student).
