Riverside, CA. – Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino (FARSB), the regional food bank of the Inland Empire, has hired Lori J, Butler, CFRE of Lake Arrowhead, California as its new Director of Philanthropy overseeing fundraising, volunteer, public relations and marketing programs for the agency which supplies food and resources to 470 other non-profits including those in the mountains.

Butler, who holds a degree from CSUF, has over 25 years’ experience in non-profit management and is a CFRE (Certified Fundraising Executive). She also teaches Non-Profit Event and Meeting Planning for Cal State San Marcos University’s Extended Education at both the San Marcos and Temecula Campuses.
“My passion for helping others alleviate food insecurity is very personal and I have experienced it in my own family. More than a decade ago when my children were little, my husband died suddenly. I learned quickly that we are all just one job, one death, one unfortunate circumstance away from struggling to place healthy food on the table, “ states Butler.

Today, Feeding America Riverside | San Bernardino is the primary source of food for over 470 nonprofits, distributing over 2.5 million pounds of food monthly to emergency food pantries, homeless shelters, soup kitchens, high-need elementary schools, halfway houses, senior centers, residential treatment centers, shelters for the abused, after school programs and group homes. More than 425,000 men, women, and children each month rely on the food bank’s distribution center to make ends meet
