Applications for Full-Time Position due by July 5, 2013

San Bernardino, CA –AmeriCorps, a National Service Program dedicated to serving the needs of local communities, partners with First 5 San Bernardino to make a commitment to serve their community’s 0-5 population. For an AmeriCorps volunteer’s time as a Preschool Coach with First 5 San Bernardino, the volunteer will receive an allowance to offset their living expenses while they are serving their community.

Upon completion of their commitment, AmeriCorps volunteer is also qualified for an Education Award that can be used to pay for college expenses. Individuals that possess a minimum of 12 units in human services, health services or early education fields and are interested in expanding their professional opportunities to include working with preschool-aged children, are encouraged to apply. Applicants will be subject to eligibility verification, fingerprinting and background clearance. About First 5 San Bernardino

The Children and Families Commission for San Bernardino County (First 5 San Bernardino) was created in December, 1998 in order to realize the benefits of Proposition 10 (California Children and Families Act) for the County’s youngest residents and their families. The act created a system of programs for the purpose of promoting, supporting, and improving the early development of children from the prenatal stage to five years of age.
