Fontana App Puts Power of Community Improvements in Your Hands

Free App Allows you to Report an Issue and Watch it Get Fixed

Fontana, CaliforniaThe Access Fontana Portal allows residents to submit service requests directly through their mobile devices or the City’s website that will automatically get routed to the correct department for proper handling. Reporting a variety of issues such as graffiti removal, dead animals, potholes and illegal dumping can be done on the go with your mobile device. The free app is allowing residents to take ownership of their community and make a difference.

The Fontana Portal Application through a partnership with PublicStuff allows residents to immediately create a work order. The app allows you to take a picture of the issue and include it with your work order. You can also track the progress of your work order and view other work orders submitted in your area. When the work is completed, you will be notified through your phone or email. “We rely on our residents to be an extra set of eyes for us out in the community and report issues such as graffiti and illegal dumping, said Public Works Director Chuck Hays. “The Access Fontana app gives residents the power to report quality of life issues in real-time and also increases our efficiency in responding to public requests.”

The app can be downloaded for free on iTunes if you have an ios phone or on Google Play if you have an Android.

Since 2012, when the Access Fontana app first became available, nearly 11,000 maintenance requests have come in either by Smartphone App or the online portal on the City of Fontana website.

The City of Fontana encourages you to pick up your device, download the app and help to improve your community today.
