Fontana Art Association, Celebrating Black History Month

Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council invite the public to visit the Fontana Art Association as it celebrates Black History Month with an art show featuring three local African American artists at the Fontana Art Center from February 1 until March 25, 2011.

The Fontana Art Association is proud to showcase the works of Leo Evens, Robert Washington, and Dylan McBrew—three of the Inland Empire’s finest artists. Exhibits on display include acrylic and enameled glass work from Leo Evens, mixed media from Robert Washington, and pencil sketches from Dylan McBrew. The Black History Month exhibition is the first show of the 2011 season, with more shows planned in the upcoming months.

The Fontana Art Center is open from Wednesday through Friday from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Saturdays from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and is located at 8536 Sierra Ave., Fontana, CA 92335. For more information about classes or showcases, please visit arts.fontana.org or call (909)823-6036.
