Fontana: Congratulate Summit High School Boys Basketball Team!

Mayor Acquanetta Warren and the City Council Congratulate Summit High School Boys Basketball Team!

The Mayor and City Council invite the residents of the City of Fontana to congratulate the Summit High School Boys Basketball team for their victory in the CIF Southern Regional Championships and their runner up finish in the State championship.

The Summit High School Skyhawks became the first basketball team in Fontana Unified School District History to capture a Southern Regional championship and advance to the State Championship game. The Skyhawks finished with a 28-8 record and have won the Sunkist League title for three consecutive years. These remarkable accomplishments happened within just five years of Summit High School opening. “I am so proud of their accomplishments and representation of this great city!” stated Mayor Acquanetta Warren.

Please join the Mayor and City Council on April 12, 2011 at 7pm in the Fontana City Hall Council Chambers.  Following the presentation there will be a short break for refreshments and a time for personal congratulations.
