Fontana Days Parade is looking for Volunteers

Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council, along with the Fontana Exchange Club, invite residents, businesses and organizations to participate in the 98th Annual Fontana Days Parade on June 4.

The Fontana Days Parade is looking for local community groups and residents to come out and represent their businesses and organizations. The Parade also encourages marching bands from the region to sign up. Owners of convertible vehicles are also encouraged to volunteer. Convertibles are used to transport VIPs down the parade route. If interested in volunteering please contact the Fontana Days Parade Committee at (909) 350-7655. The deadline for applications is May 20.

The parade will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 4 at the intersection of Arrow Blvd and Sierra Ave. Participants will march south along Sierra Avenue to Merrill Avenue and then head east to Veterans Park in time for the start of the Fontana Days Festival, which runs from 12 p.m. to 11 p.m.

Non-profit organizations that participate in the parade also have a chance to win a top spot in the float contest. The three top winning non-profit floats will be awarded trophies and a monetary donation to a non-profit group of choice.
