FONTANA: Family Fun Night Continues

Family Fun Nights Hit the Ground Running in June


Fontana, California, May 22, 2012. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to participate in Family Fun Nights, Tuesday evenings this summer, starting at 5 p.m. at various parks throughout the City. Join in on the fun and activities featuring games, arts & crafts, raffles and even a chance to participate for Fontana’s own Olympic style events! There are three Family Fun Nights in the month of June. First on June 12th at Veterans Park (17255 Merrill Ave.), then June 19th at Koehler Park (15342 Walnut Ave.) and last, on June 26th at Oak Park (14180 Live Oak Ave.) After all the fun filled activities, families can enjoy a family friendly film as dusk.

 
The 2012 Summer Olympics have inspired the theme of Family Fun Nights this summer and every week will feature different Olympic activities. The June 12th theme will be volleyball and gymnastics and the feature film is “Remember the Titans.” The theme on June 19th will be tennis, table tennis, handball and hockey and the feature film is “D2: The Mighty Ducks.” Lastly on June 26th, the theme will be boxing, judo, taekwondo, wrestling and weightlifting. The feature film will be “Kung Fu Panda 2.”
