Family Fun Nights:
The Final Four in July!
Fontana, California, The Mayor and City Council invite the public to participate in Family Fun Nights, Tuesday evenings this summer, starting at 5 p.m. at various parks throughout the City.
Join in on the fun and activities featuring games, arts & crafts, raffles and even a chance to participate for Fontana’s own Olympic style events! There are four Family Fun Nights in the month of July. First on July 10th at Fernandez Park (18006 Miller Ave.), then July 17th at Sycamore Hills Park (11075 Mayberry Dr.), next July 24th at the Fontana Park Aquatic Center (15556 Summit Ave.) and last, on July 31st at Jack Bulik Park (16581 Filbert St.). After all the fun filled activities, families can enjoy a family friendly film at dusk. There are no events scheduled on July 3rd due to Independence Day.
The 2012 Summer Olympics have inspired the theme of Family Fun Nights this summer and every week will feature many different Olympic activities. The July 10th theme will be rowing, sailing and cycling and the feature film is “Soul Surfer.” The theme on July 17th will be basketball and soccer and the feature film is “Kicking and Screaming.” The theme on July 24th will be swimming, diving and water polo and the feature film is “Surf’s Up.” Lastly on July 31st, the theme will be equestrian, athletics, triathlon, and pentathlon and the feature film will be “Dreamer.”
