Fontana: Jack Bulik Teen Center Events

Fontana, California, July 21, 2011. The Mayor and City Council invite the public to visit the Jack Bulik Teen Center this month and explore the many great resources and activities available for Fontana Teens.

The Teen Center offers a wide range of activities for Fontana youth ages 10-17. Teens can participate in all activities the center has to offer by paying a onetime fee of $5 per year. Membership includes access to computer lab, video games, tournaments, group games, arts & crafts, daily supervised fitness room access, and much more. Daily activities also include homework help and career/college counseling.

Teens can also get involved with the Mayors Youth Advisory Council (MYAC). The MYAC is a group devoted to enriching the community by creating programs that appeal to high school and middle school students.  Members of the MYAC have a chance to gain hands-on experience by working with City staff, and learning valuable leadership and organizational skills.  Applications for the MYAC are currently being accepted at Jack Bulik Teen Center. The deadline for applications is August 5, 2011.  The first meeting of the MYAC will be held on Saturday, August 20.

The Jack Bulik Teen Center is located at 16581 Filbert Street and is open from 2 pm – 7 pm Monday through Friday. For more information on the Jack Bulik Teen Center or the Mayor Youth Advisory Council please visit youth.fontana.org, or contact the Jack Bulik Teen Center at 909-349-6983.
