Fontana, California, – The Mayor and City Council invite teens and youth leaders to participate in a five-week anti-bullying institute every Tuesday, July 3rd through July 30th from 1-3p.m.
The Jack Bulik Teen Center is partnering with Children’s Resources, Inc. and the Community Alliance for Fontana Families to provide a program where participants will learn how to stick to commitments, relate in ways that promote cooperation and decrease conflict, deal productively with anger and cope with “real world” life choices.
The program was made possible by a grant from Reach Out West End, an Inland Empire based non-profit organization that delivers programs of hope, education, and empowerment for young people and families. By targeting youth leaders and other Fontana teens, the anti-bullying institute aims to spread awareness on the issue of bullying, create a group of role models for younger children and foster a climate of safety, respect and community.
The weekly program sessions will take place at the Jack Bulik Teen Center (16581 Filbert St.); lunch and refreshments will be provided.
