Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council invite the public to the Big Play Day at the Pacific Electric Trail on Saturday, May 12th, 2012 from 1 – 4 p.m.
Fontana is celebrating the completion of the Pacific Electric Trail and you’re invited! Do not miss this free, fun filled day of games, activities, giveaways and entertainment. The event will be held on the trail between Baseline Ave. and Cherry Ave. behind Vons at the Heritage Village shopping center.
The trail follows the route of the Pacific Electric Railway, once the world’s largest electric street railway system. Residents are encouraged to run, walk, bike or skate to the event and participate in the many free activities! The Big Play Day’s features 10 fun-filled activities such as a chalk-artist, a photo booth, an inflatable obstacle course and carnival booths, just to name a few.
“The Pacific Electric Trail is a fantastic addition to the City of Fontana and it will offer yet another amazing recreational opportunity for walkers, runners and cyclists of all ages,” said Bianca Gutierrez, Community Services Coordinator. “We hope residents will take advantage of the trail and all it has to offer to the City.”
