Former Medi-Cal Worker discusses how to navigate Medi-Cal system

Ramsey helps families with long-term care issues

RIVERSIDE, Calif. (Aug. 8, 2011) — Lisa Ramsey, founder and owner of Medi-Cal Consulting Services, Inc., will give a presentation on how to ensure your Medi-Cal application is approved at Maxim Health Care Services, 2280 Wardlow Circle, Suite 120, in Corona. The presentation will be held from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 10.

Ramsey is a senior advocate who presents workshops around the state that train healthcare workers about the intricacies of the Medi-Cal system.  A former Medi-Cal worker, Ramsey uses her expertise to ensure that Medi-Cal applications get approved.

Ramsey said there are a variety of steps people can take to make sure their applications make it through the process, but it takes someone who has worked on the other end to understand the process.

“Many times applications get rejected because Medi-Cal workers ask for information that is already available or information they can easily find,” Ramsey said. “These are the issues we help families work through. We offer free consultations over the phone to get people started down the right path.”
