San Bernardino, CA, May 18, 2011 – Garner Holt hosted Arrowhead United Way’s Young Leadership Council for the “Lunch with the Leader” event with a tour of his behind-the-scenes facility in San Bernardino. After the tour and lunch, the young professionals were given time to ask questions of Mr. Holt about his successful career and company.

Mr. Holt spoke to the Council about his modest beginnings and how he became extremely successful from his one-man operation in his parent’s garage to his over 60,000 square foot facility. He told the council that he was inspired by a trip to Disneyland as a youth and never gave up on his dream to build “extraordinary things.” Because he enjoys what he does so much, he told the Council that he feels like he has “never worked a day in his life.” He encouraged the young professionals to chase their dreams and find a career that inspires them.

When it comes to operations and management, Mr. Holt told the Council that he highly values employees that are passionate about their work and love what they do. He views the employees at his company as a harmonious family. Camaraderie and working as a team are extremely important to him and he believes it is why his company is so successful.

The goal of the “Lunch with a Leader” events is to provide an opportunity for tomorrow’s leaders to connect with prominent and successful leaders of today who impart their “secrets of success,” including how to overcome obstacles, and common characteristics that good leaders share. The Young Leadership Council consists of young professionals between the ages of 21 and 40 who support the Council’s mission to be actively engaged in the community, inspire philanthropy, promote volunteerism, and partner with the next generation of decision-makers.
