Get ready for summer by registering your child for Fontana’s Summer Camps on April 21st

Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council invite the public to take advantage of the summer camp opportunities available for Fontana’s youth.
The City of Fontana Community Services Department is offering a wide range of camps that provide a safe, supervised and positive environment while also creating a place for kids to go when school is not in session. Online camp registration for residents is only on April 21st from 8:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Space is limited and camps fill up fast, so register early!
Camp FIT is sure to make your child’s summer a fun filled and memorable one! Come and experience a camp that is packed with games, sports, crafts, art, health, swimming, adventures, science, movies and nonstop fun! Camp Fit is designed for children 6-11. Camp will be held at the Jessie Turner Center located at 15556 Summit Ave. For more information contact the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Community Center at (909) 854-5100.
At Camp Journey, Explore, Discover (Camp JED) your child will get an opportunity to make new friends while participating in a camp packed with a great blend of fun and exciting hands-on activities, arts & crafts, interactive games, team building activities and science experiments that will have them excited for each and every day! Camp JED is designed for children 6-11. Camp will be held at the Heritage Neighborhood Center located 7350 W. Liberty Pkwy. Camp Imagination is a fun & exciting summer day camp for youth ages 5-12. At Camp Imagination, kids stay active every day with outdoor & indoor games, favorite camp songs and building of long lasting friendships. Camp will be held at the Cypress Neighborhood Center located at 8380 Cypress Ave. Registration will only be accepted at the Cypress Neighborhood Center. Nature Discovery Camp is for kids ages 6 – 11 that celebrates the exciting world of outdoor exploration and encourages individual creativity and social connection. Each session includes many hands-on science activities, nature hikes and a field trip. Science Discovery Camp will take place at the Nature Center located at 11501 Cypress Ave. For more information contact the Nature Center at (909) 349-6994.
Sports Summer Camp is based entirely around sports! Sports Camp will offer boys and girls, ages 7 – 14, a variety of fun and interactive sports activities. Sports Summer Camp will take place at Fontana Park located at 15556 Summit Ave. For more information contact Fontana Park at (909) 428-8864.
Fontana Arts Summer Camp combines visual art and performing art instruction in an exciting week long session focusing on creativity and inspiration! Children ages 7-12 will practice theatrical and artistic skills including: acting, improv, singing, painting, drawing and much more! Camp takes place at the Art Depot and the Steelworkers’ Auditorium located at 8437 Sierra Ave. For more information contact the Art Depot at (909) 349-6975.
Summer Camp for Teens will provide those ages 10-17, an opportunity to participate in group competitions, daily fitness exercises, water games, arts & crafts, music, video games, and other activities. With the purchase of the annual Teen Center membership ($5), teens can stay until 8 p.m. Camp will take place at the Jack Bulik Center at 16581 Filbert Street. Registration for Fontana’s Summer Camps are on a first come, first served basis. Camps will open June 4th and run through August 2nd, but session length, dates and times will vary depending on each camp site. Residency and age verification for each camper will be required upon completion and fees will vary depending on each camp. An additional $12 fee applies to non-residents. Resident walk-in registration at all camp sites for any remaining camp spots (after online registration has ended) will begin on May 5th, and non-resident walk-in registration will begin on May 12th.
