RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA — Gordon Trucking and The Alliance Group Commercial Construction Inc. commenced construction of a new operating center in Lathrop, Calif. with a onsite groundbreaking ceremony recently. Chief Operating Officer Steve Gordon and his upper management team participated in a ceremonial shovel turn over and spoke about the business friendly experience of working with the City of Lathrop’s staff.
Attendees included a field representative from the office of Senator Lois Wolk, Fifth Senate District, Lathrop Mayor J. Chaka Santos, Vice Mayor Christopher Mateo, members of the planning commission and chamber of commerce, and various local business owners. Several speeches and plaques were presented to welcome Gordon Trucking to the community.
The Alliance Group is the elected general contractor that will construct the 23,000-square foot concrete tilt-up building and 13-acre concrete parking area. Phase 1 of the project will include rough grading and installation of approximately one mile of storm drain pipe and a half a mile of domestic sewer. Phase 1 will be completed in six weeks.

The company is expanding its network of operating centers to provide equipment servicing, dispatch and refueling to its fleet in more locations. The new center will service truck traveling through the Lathrop and Sacramento area.
The project is scheduled to be completed this November.
