Redlands – Plymouth Village Continuing Care Retirement Community inRedlandsis hosting their first annual ‘Grand Gala’ Foundation Dinner and Auction Event on Saturday, September 17, 2011. The local community is invited to participate. Tickets for the Gala Dinner and Live Auction are offered at $75.00 per person (table of 8 / $600 – limited availability) and include admission to both the Silent and Live Auctions. Items will include many themed gift baskets from local vendors and individuals, gift certificates, antiques, jewelry, home décor, event tickets, vacation packages and more!
Silent Auction items will be displayed for bid between 4:00 PM and 5:30 PM in the community’s “Plymouth Room” (lower level/Lodge at945 Salem Drive). Guests will be treated to beverages and hors d’oeuvres. An admission fee of $5.00 will be accepted at the door for those who would prefer to participate in the Silent Auction only.
The Gala Dinner and Live Auction will follow with seating at 6:00 PM in the Main Dining Room (upper level/Lodge). The Gala Dinner will feature a very special gourmet entrée choice of either Filet Mignon with Port Wine Demi Glaze or Pan Seared Sea Bass Filet with Fresh Grilled Mango Salsa byPlymouthVillage’s own award winning chef, Pat Alfaro.
Guests will enjoy spirited entertainment by the charming and talented group, The Le Van Family (Sarah, Solene, Sean and Eric). Having won numerous awards, they have debuted at Carnegie Hall and such prestigious venues as Weill Recital Hall, Steinway Hall,BechsteinMusicCenterinNew York, as well as the Beverly Hilton International Ballroom inLos Angeles. The Le Van sisters and their brother, all accomplished vocalists and violin prodigies, will perform with their father, Eric, himself a talented pianist. Sarah and Solene (who have given over 400 concerts in various venues) have been regular guest soloists with the Cypress Pops Orchestra and have appeared on the Disney Channel, “America’s Most Talented Kids,” and FOX.
PlymouthVillage, A Continuing Care Retirement Community owned and managed by American Baptist Homes of the West (ABHOW), has provided exceptional care and services for seniors since 1959. The Plymouth Village Foundation is a 501(c)(3) charitable organization which provides financial support through its endowment fund forPlymouthVillageresidents who have had the great fortune of living long lives, however, through no fault of their own, have outlived their financial resources. Each year, the fund provides direct benefit to residents with demonstrated financial need.
