Grant Proposal Budgeting Workshop Offered

As funding cutbacks persist in both public sector and non-profit organizations, you can gain a competitive edge by having skills and knowledge in grant development and management. For anyone interested in a new career or becoming a more valuable employee, the College of Extended Learning at Cal State University, San Bernardino offers “Proposal Budgeting” on Sat., May 8. The workshop is the fifth of eight courses that comprise the College of Extended Learning’s popular Certificate in Grant Development and Management. This workshop on proposal budgeting helps you to translate what you are offering in your proposal into a clear and logical budget. Learn how to use a Microsoft Excel spreadsheet to lay out the major components of a grant budget. After reviewing sample state, federal and private funding budgets in class, you’ll work in a team with other students to design a basic proposal budget and present it to the class for critique.

The workshop is $140 per person (including class materials) and will be held on Sat., May 14, 9 a.m.-4 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Yasuda Center. Enrollment is limited to ensure hands-on instruction.
