HABITAT FOR HUMANITY RIVERSIDE GOES “OVER THE EDGE” TO SUPPORT VETERANS

Over the edge - Habitat for Humanity

Mayor Bailey, City Council members going “Over the Edge” Friday for Habitat for Humanity

The event, dubbed “Over the Edge,” will feature Mayor Rusty Bailey and City Council members Mike Gardner and Paul Davis on Friday rapelling off the side of the 16-story Mount Rubidoux Manor at 3993 10th Street, just a couple of blocks from City Hall in downtown Riverside.

RIVERSIDE, Calif.– Habitat for Humanity Riverside is excited to announce its first Over the Edge fundraising event. Registration is now open and the few, brave, and adventurous people to accept the challenge will have the opportunity to rappel down the face of the tallest building in Riverside, the 16-story Mount Rubidoux Manor. Leading up to the event on May 20th and 21st, participants will fundraise to support Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s veteran services, bringing strength, stability, and self-reliance to veterans in need of a decent place to live. Participants will create a personal, peer to peer fundraising page and receive fundraising support and coaching from Habitat staff. The first 92 participants to raise a minimum of $1,000 will reserve their spot to go Over the Edge. We expect this unique, exhilarating event to sell out fast. Sponsorship opportunities available, including “Toss the Boss”, where companies can team fundraise to send their boss/CEO Over the Edge.
