Habitat for Humanity Supports Sister Affiliate Destroyed by Recent Fires in Lake County

Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s ReStore will be hosting a 50% off store wide sale on the 27th.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Over the past week, the Clayton Fire in Lake County, California, has destroyed over 200 homes, businesses, and other structures, including the local offices of Habitat for Humanity Lake County. Before the fire destroyed their office, the local Habitat affiliate was in the midst of a campaign to help rebuild houses lost to the area’s devastating 2015 wildfires. While continuing their efforts to bring safe, decent, and affordable housing opportunities to families in need of a decent place to live after these devastating fires, they now find it necessary to rebuild their own offices and infrastructure.

Habitat for Humanity Lake County is part of a network of over 45 independent Habitat for Humanity affiliates across California. As a sign of solidarity in their recovery efforts, Habitat for Humanity ReStores in California, whose proceeds normally support their own local affiliates, will be donating a portion of their sales on Saturday, August 27th to support the Lake County affiliate. In an effort to raise more for the cause and to drive more sales, Habitat for Humanity Riverside’s ReStore will be hosting a 50% off store wide sale on the 27th. In addition, customers will be able to donate directly to relief efforts supporting the Lake County affiliate between now and August 27th.

Our Riverside Habitat for Humanity ReStore is located at 2180 Iowa Ave in Riverside and open Monday through Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM. For a complete list of Habitat for Humanity ReStores in your area, please visit www.Habitat.org/ReStores.
