Health Fair at Fontana High School Students get Educated about Health

Fontana, California – The Mayor and City Council invite Fontana High School students to attend an on-campus Health Fair organized by the Fontana Community Services Department and sponsored by the Fontana Water Company.

On Friday, October 15, students may attend the Health Fair at Fontana High School during both lunch breaks. During the event there will be stage demonstrations, giveaways, health related activities and informational booths providing information about health and hygiene.

Teens experience many changes during their high school years. Events like the Health Fair are beneficial and important for teens to educate them on health, eating habits and fitness activities.

“By taking the Health Fair directly to the teens we are able to provide them with free resources to stay healthy, fit and hygienic within a place that they are comfortable,” stated Community Services Coordinator, Bianca Gutierrez.

In addition to the Health Fair, Fontana’s Community Services Department implements many activities for youth to stay physically active and healthy. These activities include sports leagues, low-cost gym memberships, healthy cooking classes and many other opportunities.
