November 13, 2010 launches five weeks of fun exercises, drills, and team relays designed to burn calories and tone the body. The boot camp is instructed by Katherine Davis from KATz Outdoor Fitness. Classes are held every Saturday from 6:30 am to 7:30 am at the Jessie Turner Health and Fitness Center. The center is located at 15556 Summit Avenue in Fontana. Registration is only $25 for five weeks. Participants are asked to bring two 5 pound dumbbells, an exercise mat or towel and plenty of water.
By participating in the Health and Fitness Boot Camp, not only will you enjoy an exhilarating workout, but you will learn exercises that you can do on your own at home or at the gym. Other benefits include learning ways to increase metabolism to maximize fat loss and meeting new friends with similar weight loss goals.
The Healthy Fontana program began in 2005 to encourage residents to create a healthy and active lifestyle. The program offers many options for residents to achieve a healthy lifestyle such as fitness classes, healthy cooking classes, and walking clubs.
