High Desert Economic Update Bright Source Improves Economic Outlook

Job opportunities and revenue streams are about to pour into California’s high desert area, thanks to a new solar energy installation. Assemblyman Stephen Knight talks about the Bright Source Energy Solar Electricity Generating System and its effect on the local economy.

The facility in Ivanpah, California, will nearly double the amount of commercial solar thermal electricity produced in the U.S. But even greater benefits for the region are predicted by Steve Knight, assemblyman for the state’s 33rd District.
