Panda Express, Jack-in-the-Box Slated to be Built Near Base Line Street, 210 Freeway
HIGHLAND, Calif. – Evergreen Devco, Inc. announced today that the leading national retail and multifamily development company recently broke ground on a 1.61-acre development for two freestanding retail buildings along Base Line Street near the Highway 210 in Highland, California.
Located at 27220 and 27734 Base Line Street, one pad will become a Panda Express and the other a Jack in the Box restaurant. Together, both will employ more than 135 individuals.
“Evergreen is excited to begin development after playing an integral part on coming up with a successful solution to a piece of land that had sat vacant for multiple years,” said Rogg Collins, principal at Evergreen. “We’re proud to have worked with both the property owner and the City of Highland to come up with a plan that will eventually facilitate road widening along Base Line Street.”
Both restaurants will feature indoor seating, a drive thru lane, lighting and landscaping. Panda Express will also offer outdoor seating.
Evergreen is working with Phoenix-based Vertical Design Studios for architectural services and Irvine, Calif.-based Deacon Construction, LLC, is the general contractor. The Panda Express is approximately 2,569 square feet and the Jack in the Box is approximately 2,543 square feet.
Brian McDonald at Ontario, Calif.-based CBRE represented Evergreen, Mike Tohikian of Los Angeles-based Hot Spot Properties represented Jack in the Box on the ground lease and Ryan Gast and Dan Samulski of CBRE represented Panda Express in the purchase of their west parcel, which closed on March 23.
