10th Annual Another Way Toy Drive
WHAT: More than 250 Inland children with developmental disabilities and their families will gather at Inland Regional Center Wednesday to receive skateboards, soccer balls, Barbie dolls and other toys donated by the San Bernardino Sheriff’s Dept & California Highway Patrol, and IRC employees for the 10th Annual Another Way Toy Drive.
The children from across San Bernardino and Riverside counties will also visit with Santa Claus and enjoy holiday music and caroling.
Every year, community organizations and IRC workers donate gifts by selecting an ornament bearing a child’s name from Christmas trees at IRC, the State Building & the S.B. Superior Court Building in San Bernardino. The employees then buy a present to be given to the child at the annual holiday event.
As one of 21 community-based, non-profit regional centers in California, IRC serves approximately 24,000 adults and children with developmental disabilities and their families in San Bernardino and Riverside counties.

WHY: The Another Way Toy Drive is the only opportunity many of the families with children with developmental disabilities will have to celebrate the holiday season. The gifts given to the children are often the only ones they will receive all year.
