Most individuals and businesses are confused about what’s in the Healthcare Reform Act, and what the implications are. Regardless of ones political affiliation, the time is now to discover real answers. Everyone should learn how the changes could potentially affect them. And for small business owners especially, the sooner the better, as they weigh their options about health care coverage for their employees.

Sean Thurin, Principal of Thurin Insurances Services (a Benefits Resource company), will help attendees at this month’s NAWBO-IE meeting traverse the maze of tax credit, vouchers, and spiraling costs. Topics he will cover include: Are there Premium Tax Credits available, how to avoid penalties, what are FreeChoice Vouchers, what exactly takes affect this year and in 2011, how to prepare now for the changes effective in 2012, the best ways to control healthcare costs, plus more.

As a principal owner and broker consultant for Benefits Resource, Sean and his team help employers navigate the ever-changing and challenging Healthcare Reform issues. They work to increase ROI by reducing costs, leveraging human resources & benefits technology, and improving employees’ perception and appreciation. Operating his business in Ontario, CA, Sean is an active and contributing member of his community, a key reason he was awarded the “Small Business Person of the Year” by the Ontario Chamber of Commerce in 2006.
