Ice Cream Safari in the Moonridge Animal Park

You are invited to experience a very flavorful and tasty adventure in the Moonridge Animal Park located in Big Bear Lake, California on Saturday September 4, 2010 starting at 11AM and lasting until the ice cream is all gone. You can buy one or more tickets for $5.00 each and get 5 scoops of ice cream. Five Ice Cream Stations, each with a different flavor, are located throughout the park. As you walk through the park among the animals, you can stop for tasty ice cream too.

This year the Ice Cream Safari is sponsored by Rite Aid, North Pole Fudge & Ice Cream Company, and an anonymous donor.   The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo are hosting this event as a fun sweet-tooth experience.  Standard park admission applies: Ages 11-59 $9.00, ages 3-10 and seniors $6.00, under 3 years old is free, and Friends the Moonridge Zoo members are free.

The Friends of the Moonridge Zoo was formed in 1989 as a non-profit public benefit corporation whose purpose is to support the Moonridge Animal Park through: (1) Educating the public regarding treatment, protection, and conservation of wildlife; (2) Recruiting and coordinating zoo volunteers; and (3) Fundraising. The Moonridge Animal Park is Big Bear’s wildlife animal sanctuary, rehabilitation and education center founded in 1959.  During this year the Moonridge Animal Park is celebrating 50 Years of Sanctuary, Rehabilitation and Education.
