Security Garage Door, Inc. of Upland to be featured on “This Old House”
Garage door installer recruited by television series to help renovate Los Angeles home
UPLAND, CA – Security Garage Door, Inc., an installer of garage doors servicing the Los Angeles basin, is pleased to announce that it will be featured on an episode of “This Old House,” the Emmy® Award-winning television series. The home improvement show is coming to the Los Angeles area for the first time to renovate a 1933 Spanish Revival home in the Silver Lake area, known for its iconic 1920s and 1930s architecture.
Homeowners Kurt Albrecht and Mary Blee are expanding their 1,500 square-foot home to accommodate their growing family. The renovation will include a two-story, 750-square-foot rear addition containing an expanded kitchen, new family room, two additional bathrooms, and two more bedrooms.
Security Garage Door will install a new garage door fabricated by Designer Doors. The homeowners selected a custom wood door with a Spanish Mediterranean design to retain the original style of the home.

Home Front Build (www.homefrontbuild.com) is the project architect and general contractor. Home Front’s renovation will improve the layout of the home while preserving its period detail, such as arched door openings, period tile, barrel tile roofing and Art Deco light fixtures.
