Rancho Cucamonga, CA – Inland Empire United Way (IEUW) is set to hold its 4rd Annual United for Kids Golf Classic on Monday, September 23rd at the stunning and exclusive golf course Red Hill Country Club in Rancho Cucamonga. The event focuses on supporting IEUW’s flagship programs that aid local children in need, including Kids Pack, School Tools, ieReads, and Launch Point.
On Monday, September 23rd, the course will once again be lined with vendors from local businesses with goodies to hand out to our participants. The day of golfing and giving will begin with registration and a welcome breakfast, followed by a shotgun start at 8am, which will open with a Mega Putt Contest. Additional contests on the course will include a Hole-in-One with the chance to win a brand new car from Audi of Ontario.
Wayne Guzman, Co-Chair of the IEUW Golf Committee notes, “Coming together as a community to help the children and families of our community who are struggling with poverty, homelessness, and hunger is so important. For some of us, these issues may strike a painful chord of past memories and struggles. The Inland Empire United Way represents a direct way for me to be involved and make a difference by working with our local schools to deliver weekend meals to children who do not have sufficient food outside of school. I thank God that I am able to play golf in such a wonderful event, give back to others, and share the blessings that I have received in my life.”
