Assemblymember Freddie Rodriguez‏ honored the 52nd Assembly District Woman of the Year, Sandra Sisco (pictured at the top of the page). It was a privilege to share with leaders from across California how the work Sandra does at the Intech Center is moving the Inland Empire forward. Thank you for being a great community champion Sandra!

Assemblymember Sabrina Cervantes honored lifelong Corona resident MaryAnn Sherman as the 2019 Woman of the Year in the 60th Assembly District.

“I am proud to have selected MaryAnn Sherman as the 60th Assembly District Woman of the Year. Throughout her life, MaryAnn has dedicated her time, energy, and attention to improving the quality of life in our community. Her exceptional leadership, combined with her selfless service to others, is inspirational and most deserving of this honorable recognition,” said Assemblymember Cervantes.

Senator Connie M. Leyva today recognized Bloomington resident Kim Rocha as 2019 “Woman of the Year” for the 20th State Senate District.

As the co-founder of “Concerned Neighbors of Bloomington,” a community based organization promoting leadership development and community participation in local social justice issues, Kim Rocha is a tireless advocate and champion for the voiceless, promoting a more sustainable quality of life, responsible land use decisions, improved public health, and environmental justice.

Assemblymember James C. Ramos is proud to select Rancho Cucamonga Councilmember Kristine Scott as “Woman of the Year” for the 40th Assembly district. Assemblymember Ramos will honor Councilmember Scott on the Assembly floor as part of the California’s Legislative Women’s Caucus yearly event, as part of Women’s History Month.

Senator Mike Morrell honored Liliana Andriani of Rancho Cucamonga as the 23rd Senate District Woman of the Year in a ceremony at the State Capitol.

Andriani is currently the owner of Angel Jewelers, a small business in Rancho Cucamonga. She is an active member of the community, working to support other entrepreneurs as a member of the Board of Directors for the Rancho Cucamonga Chamber of Commerce and through her work with the National Latina Business Women Association – Inland Empire.

Assemblymember Eloise Reyes recognized Gwendolyn Lorraine Dowdy-Rodgers as the Woman of the year. Gwen made a decision to give back to her community with her time, efforts and knowledge and we should look to her as an example of what we can do to help others.”
