Investigators seek information on vehicle seen at shooting site

Redlands Police investigators are seeking information on a vehicle or vehicles seen in the area of a shooting that left two teenage boys dead and two others wounded Wednesday.

The vehicle is described as a dark green mid to late 1990s model Honda Accord or Honda Civic four-door sedan. Another vehicle of interest may be a dark colored vehicle with shiny rims. It is unknown whether either vehicle was involved in the shooting.

Police began receiving calls shortly after 7 pm Wednesday, Jan. 5, reporting shots fired and victims down in the area of Oxford Drive and Post Street north of Colton Avenue. When they arrived they found four teenage males who had been shot. One victim, 17-year-old Quinn McCaleb was pronounced dead at the scene. Three victims were transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center where 16- year-old Andrew Jackson died a short time later. The other two victims are recovering from their injuries. A fifth teen escaped without injury.

The shooting occurred in a common playground area between two apartment buildings on Oxford Drive. The victims were located nearby on Oxford and Post.

Investigators are also seeking information on a Hispanic man between 17 and 20 years old, between 5 feet, 6 inches and 5 feet, 10 inches tall, 150 to 170 pounds with a thin build. He had a mustache and wore a black baseball cap, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
