Inviting all Railroaders

Railroad enthusiasts are invited to display their train artifacts, model train layouts, and photos at “Train Days,” at the San Bernardino CountyMuseum in Redlands.

“Train Days” will be celebrating its sixth year of fun on January 15 and 16, 2011. Over 800 children attended Train Days last year with their parent, grandparents, or friends. They watched model trains run on huge and small layouts, played train games, talked to real engineers, and inspected real train tools and other “railroadiana.”

Railroaders interested to participate, please contact “Train Days” organizer Nancy Kirkwood at (909) 307-2669 ext. 271 or e-mai lnkirkwood@sbcm.sbcounty.gov.

The San Bernardino County Museum is at the California Street exit from Interstate 10 in Redlands. The museum is open Tuesdays through Sundays and holiday Mondays from 9am to 5pm. For more information, visit www.sbcountymuseum.org.

The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities. If assistive listening devices or other auxiliary aids are needed in order to participate in museum exhibits or programs, requests should be made through Museum Visitor Services at least three business days prior to your visit.
