Join the NAWBO-IE Amazing Women Event, Honoring Inland Empire Women Business Owners

Registration Deadline for 8th Annual NAWBO-IE Amazing Women Event – Exceptional business owners to be honored April 27 in Corona

Corona, Calif. – Join the Inland Empire chapter of the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO-IE) at the Amazing Women Event (AWE) Awards Banquet on Wednesday, April 27 at 6 p.m., Eagle Glen Golf Club, 1800 Eagle Glen Parkway, Corona. Radio personality Brandi Lanai of KSGN 89.7 radio will be the event’s Mistress of Ceremonies.

The inspiring Amazing Women Event honors exceptional women business owners and community leaders in six categories. The nominees are:

Legacy AwardAcquanetta Warren, Mayor of City of Fontana and Maria Moreno, Casa Moreno Mexican Grill. This award recognizes a woman who has achieved a truly amazing goal that will impact her community for years to come.

Community Bridge Builder Award — Ruthee Goldkorn, Ms. Wheelchair California Pageant, Inc.; Debra Murphy, Union Bank of California; Michell Skipworth, City of Corona; Nicole Kinney, Inland Empire Women’s Business Center. This award honors a woman who is deeply committed to her community and demonstrates an amazing passion for her particular cause.

Rising Star Award — Amanda Johnson, True to Intention; Christi MacNee, T3Fitness Energy; Christine Ritoli, Silver Screen Saving Coupon Advertising Magazine; Danielle Taylor, Walking on Water Production, LLP. This award honors a business owner who has been in business at least three years and has shown a commitment to the success of her community.

The Trailblazer Award — Award Eve Yen, Diamond Wipes International; Kara Lubin, 100 Mile Club; Therese Marquez, Gold Star Promotions. This award recognizes a woman who has blazed a trail that others can follow and use to create their own success.

The Business Woman of the Year Award — C.C. Vest, Midpoint Bearing; Jennie Enholm, AVID Ink; Laurel Miller, Glass Doctor; Nancy DiCaprio, NCH Galleries; Shaila Mistry, JAYCO. This award honors a woman who has demonstrated creative initiative in her business–to grow the business, create jobs, overcome obstacles, and help her community.

In addition to recognizing this year’s winners, NAWBO-IE will honor Tina Loza of Loza & Loza, LLP, and 2010-2011 NAWBO-IE President with the Acknowledging NAWBO Individuals That Achieve (ANITA) Award for her outstanding actions as a member of NAWBO-IE, earning the respect of her peers and helping others achieve in numerous ways.
