Ken Hunt Retires as Fontana City Manager

Fontana, CA – Ken Hunt is retiring after 20 years as Fontana City Manager. The formal announcement was made Monday during a special meeting of the City Council.

Michael Milhiser, former City Manager of Ontario, Montclair and Upland and retired Chief Administrative Officer for the Morongo Band of Mission Indians, was appointed interim City Manager, effective immediately.

“We thank Ken for his dedicated service to our city and wish him all the best in his retirement,” said Mayor Acquanetta Warren. “We’re fortunate to have someone of Mike Milhiser’s experience and leadership heading our transition team, while we search for a permanent replacement.”

Hunt joined Fontana in January 1990, and has served as City Manager since 1999.

Milhiser is a seasoned city administrator, who addition to his roles in Ontario, Montclair and Upland, has served as interim City Manager in Adelanto and has been a board member of the Monte Vista Water District since 2007.
