Riverside, California (October 15, 2015) – The Riverside Robotics Society has announced that John Stevens, an instructional coach for the Chaffey Joint Union High School District will present a lecture to its membership on Saturday, October 17, 2015.
Steven’s lecture will walk members thru how to use the program called AutoDesk 123 Design to produce a 3D model and print this electronic design using an Airwolf 3D printer. In the robotics industry, 3D modeling and printing is becoming very important to design new parts for robots on your computer and print them using a 3D printer.
As an instructional coach John Steven’s focuses on integrating technology into the classroom. Steven’s received a bachelor of arts in mathematics from California State University, Los Angeles and is also a Google Certified Teacher. John has also been awarded CUE Rockstar Faculty & Organizer status having presented in CUE teacher camps and is an Airwolf 3D STEM Consultant.
“The Riverside Robotics Society is pleased to have John Steven’s give a lecture about 3D modeling and 3D printing,” said John McCarthy, President of The Riverside Robotics Society. “His experience with both K-12 education and technologies such as 3D modeling and 3D printing will be a great addition for our members, who range from age 12 to retired electrical engineers.”
Riverside Robotics Society is a group of hobbyists that meet once per month at the Woodcrest Library on Krameria Avenue in Southern California, to share their knowledge, insight and interest in robotics. The event starts at 10 a.m. with the main lecture beginning close to 10:30 a.m. The event is free to the public, but registration is requested.
