Learn Grant Proposal Budgeting with the College of Extended Learning

This intensive, day-long workshop is for current grant development specialists and those who want to enter the field. Once you’ve developed a grant proposal, you also need a project budget.  This “Proposal Budgeting” workshop teaches you how to create clear, logical budgets using Excel spreadsheets. You’ll review sample state, federal, and private funding budgets and receive an overview of common budgeting pitfalls. Then, working in a team with classmates, you’ll design a basic budget and present it to the class for critique.

This workshop is one of eight in the college’s comprehensive Certificate in Grant Development and Management. Workshops may be taken individually with no obligation to complete the certificate.  “Proposal Budgeting” will be held on Sat., Feb. 19, from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Cal State San Bernardino’s Yasuda Center. The workshop fee is $140 per person (includes materials). Enrollment is limited to ensure hands-on instruction time for every student, and advance registration is required by Feb. 11.
