Legislative Oversight Committee to hold transportation hearing on I-10 Corridor and Airport Management Issues

On Thursday, April 12, Assembly Member Wilmer Amina Carter (D-62) will convene the Select Committee on Inland Empire Transportation Issues, which she chairs, to discuss important and timely transportation issues facing the region. The hearing will be held at the Norton Regional Events Center main auditorium, 1601 East Third Street in San Bernardino from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Panelists at the hearing will look at Ontario International Airport utilization and management, and issues and progress at San Bernardino International Airport. Discussions will include the I-10 Corridor between the two airports, and the role goods movement plays in the region.

Speakers include Senators Gloria Negrete McLeod and Bob Dutton; Southern California Associated Governments CEO Hasan Ikhrata; Mary Jane Olhasso, San Bernardino County Economic Development; Dr. Ray Wolfe, Executive Director and Ty Schuiling, SANBAG; Ontario Councilmember Alan Wapner; San Bernardino Mayor Pat Morris and Colton Mayor Sarah Zamora; Rialto Councilmember Deborah Robertson;
Loma Linda University Environmental and Occupational Health’s Dr. Sam Soret; and representatives from BNSF Railroad and the Center for Community Action and Environmental Justice.
