District will receive new classroom to accommodate additional students on waiting list
INLAND EMPIRE, Calif. (Dec. 3, 2013) – Yucaipa Valley Christian School District (YVCSD) has more demand for enrollment than classrooms available, so local contractors are stepping up to build new classroom space.
The Alliance Group Commercial Construction Inc. has begun rehabilitating a 960-sq. ft. modular building at the YVCSD pre-school campus. Laying concrete walkways, installing electrical wiring and adding a bathroom are just some of the things The Alliance Group, G.J. Gentry, and DM Electric are donating time and materials for.
“I strongly support private Christian schools and jumped at the chance to help the district expand its capacity and serve more local families,” said Joseph Freeno, president of The Alliance Group. “As a business owner, it’s a great feeling when you can generously use your skills and resources to make a difference, and in this case, the work will give more local children access to a great Christian education in a safe and wholesome environment.”
Once finished, the classroom will support class sizes up to 24 children. The project is expected to be completed in early December. The pre-school will begin accepting students for the new classroom in January 2014, but with the high demand, parents are encouraged to contact the school and be placed on the waiting list.
